MoE&F sought compliance report from APIIC over pollution in Atchutapuram SEZ

MoE&F has sought clarification and compliance report from APIIC over non-compliance of Environment & CRZ norms by industrial units at SEZ in Achutapuram & Rambilli mandals of Visakhapatnam dist.
In response to a letter by by me to Mninister of Environment and Forests Dr. Harshavardhan complaining about non-compliance of Environment & CRZ clearance and blatant violation of pollution norms by industries located in SEZ at Achutapuram and Rambilli mandals of Visakhapatnam dist., the minister informed that based on the findings of a central team which had visited SEZ in Achutapuram and Rambilli mandals recently, the ministry has sought clarification and compliance report from Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).
