I met Prof. P. J. Kurien, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha
I met Prof. P. J. Kurien, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha on 15th September, 2017, at his residence in New Delhi. It was purely a courtesy call. Prof. Kurien is a great personality and a wonderful human being. Everyone knows how greatly and smoothly he conducts proceedings of the Upper House of the Parliament.
Prof. Kurien enjoys the support of everyone in Rajya Sabha. He also commands great respect in the entire country. He has great administrative and political experience and uses the same to run the Rajya Sabha. Prof. Kurien was a member of Lok Sabha from 1980 to 1999. Then in 2005 he got elected to Rajya Sabha. From August, 2016 he has been serving the nation as Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha. For me, a first time MP, he is a Philosopher and Guide.
I am learning a lot from him. It is always a pleasure and honor to meet Prof. Kurien and learn new things from him. His services to the nation as a social worker, educationist, politician and parliamentarian are great and outstanding.
