Forts tell us the history. Forts are symbol of our heritage. It was a memorable visit today to the largest fort of Kerala, the Bekal Fort. Bekal Fort is a medieval fort built by Shivappa Nayaka of Keladi in 1650 AD It is spread over 40 acres. The Arabian Sea looks amazing from the fort. In fact the Bekal fort appears to emerge from the sea. Almost three-quarters of its exterior is in contact with water.
